English for Environmental Science is a skill-based, topic-centered book designed for learners of English for Specific Purposes, with a focus on environmental science. The book comprises 10 units, each addressing a relevant environmental topic, and is structured to cover approximately 60 contact hours. Each unit is divided into four key sections − Getting Ready, Core Concepts, Skills Development, and Terminology Development − to ensure a thorough and systematic learning experience.

This course aims to help students to: Develop core language skills relevant to environmental science, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening; Acquire and effectively use key terminology and foundational concepts in the field; Engage with diverse text types and learning activities to build subject knowledge and strengthen critical thinking, research, and academic communication skills; Enhance soft skills such as teamwork and presentation through collaborative tasks; and Apply their language and subject knowledge to clearly and confidently express ideas and information related to environmental issues in English.
